Yost Aviation is built on legacy, passion, and the enduring love of flight. It all began with Shawn Yost—my father—who, though he couldn’t fly planes himself, found joy in photographing them. He passed that passion, and the love of aviation photography, down to me, and soon after to my little brother. My Dad was my partner in crime at airshows, always by my side with a camera in hand. Through Yost Aviation, I carry his legacy forward and make my own—capturing aircraft in motion and honoring the sky-bound dreams we shared.
The Love of Aviation
Currently based in Connecticut, Samantha is a lifelong aviation photographer with a deep passion for capturing the power and grace of flight. Growing up around Selfridge Air Force Base with The Red Devils flying overhead, her love for aviation began early—especially for the A-10 Warthog, her all-time favorite aircraft. With decades of experience behind the lens, Samantha’s next goal is to step into the cockpit herself. Currently finishing her flight training, she’s working toward becoming one of the pilots she’s spent a lifetime photographing—bringing her unique perspective from the ground to the skies.
