A Young Photographer’s Evolution in Art

Hi, I’m Samantha — a 21-year-old photographer currently based in Connecticut.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It all started with a Hello Kitty point-and-shoot camera and a deep love for capturing moments, inspired by my dad who introduced me to the world behind the lens. What began as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion.

Aviation photography was my first love — there’s something captivating about the power, precision, and beauty of flight. Over time, though, I began exploring other subjects and found joy in capturing a wide range of moments, from everyday life to first responders doing their duty. I believe photography is about telling stories — sometimes bold and loud, sometimes quiet and intimate.

I love playing with contrast, shadow, and color grading to evoke a certain mood — sometimes nostalgic, sometimes intense, always thoughtful. I want my photos to feel like a pause in a story you didn’t know you were watching — something familiar, but just surreal enough to pull you in.
