There is something undeniably special about the beginning of a love story, when everything is new but yet somehow feels like it is meant to be. This is exactly the magic caught with Mariana and Luis at this photoshoot. From stolen glances to spontaneous laughter, every frame tells the story of two people discovering an extremely rare feeling of a spark that is fresh and familiar.

Our destination, courtesy of the couple, was Walnut Beach in Milford, Connecticut during golden hour. It was one of those days on the beach where the sun was warm, but the breeze had a slight chill.

Despite the two not being together long, you wouldn’t guess it by the way they look at each other.

From the second we started shooting, it was clear that they are comfortable together. With the endless smiles and long embraces, the world faded behind them and they were in their own orbit. The emotions felt were not posed but lived.

“It’s just so different with him.”

There is always something so refreshing about capturing this stage in a relationship. These are photos they’ll look back on and say, “that was the beginning,” and although time will add depth to the connection, this right here is the spark.
